Night-life Survival Guide – from a pharmacy intern

You’re in university, you’re young, you’re going to go out and you’re most likely going to regret some decisions the next morning. Here’s some tips that CosmoUK helped me with, to help make those decisions more bearable.

1. Ditch the cold showers and greasy burgers, milk thistle tablets are a great way to combat a hangover. Team your Berocca with one of these bad boys (and some ibuprofen), and you’ll be good to go!

2. Always (and I mean always!!) take off your make-up before you go to bed. Regardless of how tired or drunk you are – you don’t need a spotty face and a visible hangover.

3. Bulk buy Berocca, Dioralyte, Lucozade etc. No explanation required. You’re gon’ need it.

4. Remember to pack a small pair of ballet flats in your handbag for a night out. There’s nothing worse than having blisters and cuts (and a broken ankle) from your night on the d-floor.

5. When you arrive home from your night on the town, have something to eat and drink some water. This way you’ll sober up a bit before you go to bed, allowing you to have a calmer sleep and to minimise your hangover. (Trust me – this works).

6. Invest in a cute turban or head-scarf to hide your post-night-out hair disaster. They look great and are ridiculously convenient to have around the place!

7. And lastly – avoid the 3am kebab shop. Firstly, they’re greasy and sloppy and you’re most likely going to spill it on your dress. Secondly, you’re going to be able to taste it for about 48 hours after you’ve eaten it. My tip: cook dinner before you go out and make sure there’s extra so you can pig out when you get home.

Follow these tips and I can guarantee you’ll have a great night out and a slightly less great (but still bearable) following day! Good luck!
