Here at The Student Blogger, we love a spontaneous last-minute European jaunt, be it to Barcelona, home to Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia cathedral and the catherdral-like Camp Nou; Copenhagen, capital of the ‘happiest country on Earth’; or Lisbon, often voted Europe’s coolest city break destination.

We’ve long been fans of HotelTonight – the leading last-minute hotel booking app – and have used it on numerous occasions to book stylish rooms in the UK and further afield. We’re also big fans of money-saving deals, so were delighted to hear about the addition of CrashPad, a new search category for the app featuring hostel-like properties for travellers who are more budget-conscious, but still want style and service when booking accommodation in Europe. And what’s more, HotelTonight are offering readers of The Student Blogger £15 off their first booking through the app.

Like HotelTonight’s other categories, which range from Basic to Luxe, CrashPads are hand-picked to ensure they meet the app’s demanding quality standards. CrashPads are now available in select European cities, including Berlin, Paris, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Prague, Barcelona, Glasgow and Venice.

According to the company’s UK MD, Heather Leisman: ‘At HotelTonight we want to ensure that everybody who opens our app finds an attractive place to stay at for the night, regardless of their budget or lifestyle. With the launch of CrashPads, travellers in Europe will be able to book an inexpensive room that has been vetted for quality just as thoroughly as any of our other properties, but that meets the needs and expectations of someone looking for a cheap and cheerful experience.’

Users of HotelTonight can get a room at a selection of stylish properties, from 9am until 2am local time, for that same night. Guests can book up to a five-night stay on the app, and booking is easy – just three taps and a swipe from app launch to completed booking!

HotelTonight is currently available in 300 destinations around the world, and to date there have been more than 9.25 million downloads. Check out the HotelTonight website for more information and to download the free app.
