So we’ve had the obligatory false dawn of summer – a few days of t-shirt weather back in April that got everyone packing away their woolly jumpers for the year, only to dig them out again the following week when the temperatures plummeted. But, finally, June is here, which should guarantee us some gloriously warm sunshine. So here are The Student Blogger’s suggestions on getting yourself ready for summer along with some of our favourite products…
Get yourself polished
A
fter what seems like an eternity of wrapping up warm and having the central heating on full whack, skin can look dry and lacklustre. Brush away those dead skin cells and get your skin smooth, glowing and ready for those shorts with a body polish.

Soften up
Winter might be long gone, but your skin will still thank you for a good moisturiser over the summer. While most of us don’t think twice about moisturising our face every day, it’s easy to forget about the rest of our body (that is until you get your fave summer dress out and see your legs for the first time in about nine months!). Help to keep your skin soft and moisture locked in by applying a lightweight moisturiser each day, ideally after your bath or shower.

Look after your locks

Get lippy
Give your lips a dash of colour and care for them at the same time by ditching the heavy lipstick in favour of a tinted lip balm. Choose one with SPF to protect your lips against the sun’s rays and you’ll help to keep them soft and hydrated as well as giving them a touch of colour.

Nail it
You don’t need to fork out for a whole new wardrobe to feel good this summer – make a statement and liven up any outfit with butter LONDON’s range of nail lacquers.
