Sausage & cider casserole

This delightful recipe serves 4 people and can be easily adjusted for more or less! Tastes even more amazing after 5/6 hours in a slow cooker or the next day!

What you need:

  • 12 sausages
  • 2 eating apples
  • 2 Onions
  • Any mix of veg you like e.g. mixed veg, peas, carrots etc.
  • 300ml apple cider
  • 500ml beef stock
  • 1tsp basil

What you do:

  • Preheat your oven to 180C
  • Peel and slice your onions and apples
  • Brown your sausages and onions in the casserole dish
  • Add your veg and apple to the casserole dish
  • Pour over the cider and stock add a little salt & pepper and the basil
  • Cook in the oven for 1 hour 45 minutes

To serve:

A nice heap of creamy, buttery mash
