Ways to make money as a student
1) Matched betting
As an example let’s say a bookie is offering you a £10 free bet when you deposit and bet £10.
You put that £10 on Man U to win at 2/1, at the same time you put £10 on Man U not to win in Betfair (This is a betting exchange rather than a traditional bookies so these types of bets are allowed). 2) Using cash back schemes to your advantage
You have probably heard of cashback websites, and in this particular case Top Cashback. They are a website that offer you cashback when you buy stuff online. They make money because the websites that they direct you to pay them for advertising and you get a cut of the advertising money. Some retailers run incentives in which you actually receive more than you have to spend, hoping that they will keep your custom, however you can just use them and ditch them to make a tidy profit!
3) Get a part time job.
Pretty self explanatory really, one of the most secure ways of bringing in a little extra cash without selling all your belongings! Either hit the town handing out CV’s or look online (many shops only accept online applications now!)
4) Use your talents/skills
Self explanatory really a bit like getting a part time job however you have to be more pro-active and possibly register as self employed. E.g. Are you great with kids? Offer around to baby sit, Computer Whizz? Offer Cheap repairs, offer to walk dogs or pet sit…the list goes on and on…
5) Sell your old items/things you don’t use any more
Instead of if you have stuff you don’t use any more, or never use (unwanted gifts anyone?) Wack them on Ebay!
