For some, note-taking can be a total drag and some students choose not to bother with it. However, when exam season arrives, they realise how important note-taking really was, and have to start their revision from scratch – which does no favours for your stress levels!
Effective note-taking in class is essential to provide understanding, promote active listening (so advice you hear from your lecturer isn’t going in one ear and out the other) and it, of course, provides a framework for revision.
