Get holiday ready with the latest Lookfantastic beauty box

As the end of term approaches many students will be looking forward to a long, hot summer packed with lazy lie-ins, day trips with friends and if you’re lucky – a holiday to Marbs! Whatever you’re up to for the next few months, now summer’s here we all like to look our best, so what better time to treat yourself to some new beauty products!

With this in mind the team at The Student Blogger was excited to take a sneak peek inside the June beauty box from Lookfantastic (aptly named #LFJETSETTER) which is full of gorgeous beauty products to help get you feeling confident and looking great ready for your summer adventures.

The idea of the Lookfantastic beauty boxes is that you receive a luxurious box of goodies through the post but the contents are a kept a surprise until you open it. The boxes can include things like face creams, make-up, self-tan, hairbrushes, hand cream, hair products, shower gels… the list goes on. The products can either be full size or travel/trial size and are a great way of trying out high-end beauty products without spending a fortune on them. The boxes are available as a one-off purchase or you can subscribe to Lookfantastic’s three-, six- or twelve-month plans (prices per box get lower with a subscription*) and are a great treat for yourself and also make an ideal pressie for your mates.

Korres Basil Lemon Showergel – This zesty shower gel is the ideal product to get you going first thing in the morning. It’s infused with zinc and vitamins C and E, and is a great size for the wash bag for a weekend away. (Some boxes contain the Bergamot Pear body wash instead.)

Naobay Oxygenating Cream – This moisturiser is our favourite product from this month’s box… it smells so good you could eat it! It’s easily absorbed, making it perfect for using before applying your make-up, and it leaves skin really soft. Its composition is based on high-quality plant extracts and organic vegetable oils like sweet almond oil and sesame oil.

Cowshed Moisturising Hand Cream – Cult classic brand Cowshed knows how to make great beauty products that smell fantastic. We’re no stranger to their moisturising hand cream and it’s perfect for keeping in the handbag or on the bedside table. Use it on hands and cuticles to keep them super soft this summer.

Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream – This eye cream works to fight puffiness and illuminate the skin around the eyes to help combat dark circles. The cream comes in a tube, so it’s easy to control the amount coming out and you don’t end up with loads of excess cream around your eyes. It also seems to absorb quickly which is always a bonus, so no oily residue afterwards. Use morning and evening, for all skin types.

Tan Organic Self Tan Oil – If you’re keen to put a bit of colour on those legs before digging out the Daisy Dukes this summer then you might be overwhelmed by the vast array of self tan products for sale. We like Tan Organic tanning oil which helps to give your skin a golden glow but also moisturises your skin at the same time. The key thing with this tanning oil is that it has a citrus scent so doesn’t smell bad at all! (Patch test recommended.)

Mr Blanc Teeth Whitening Strips – In this month’s beauty box we received three Mr Blanc teeth whitening strips. We haven’t tried these yet so can’t say how we found them but they look pretty simple to use. Each strip is coated with a tooth whitening gel which absorbs stains to help you along your way to that Hollywood smile.
