Halloween Make Up- On a budget.

Firstly I want to say a big thank you to The Student Blogger team for letting me write the ‘Fashion and Beauty’ section on their website, I hope everyone enjoys what I post!

HALLOWEN PARTY FACE IDEAS

I thought as Halloween is coming up I would start of by showing everyone at home how they can apply make-up for Halloween for nothing more than £5!!

UN ZIP YOUR FACE

This look will surely get your friends talking and it only cost me £5, with that price you will have plenty of money left over to enjoy your night out!

Firstly this looks more complicated than it is.

What you will need to make this look-

  • An old zip £1
  • Fake blood £1
  • Dark red and purple face paint £1
  • Spirit gum glue £2

Firstly I started off by applying my normal make up for example, foundation, eyeliner, mascara you name it. Then onto the important part, you need to get an ‘old zip’ (skin colour if possible), I bought mine from www.ebay.co.uk for £1, such a bargain!! You can also just use a zip from an old item of clothing that you do not want any more. (As long as it’s long enough to cover your face and neck)

You would then use the ‘spirit gum glue’ that you can put on your face, which you can also buy from eBay or amazon for no more than £2. (I suggest doing a skin test on your arm or behind your ear for 24 hours before so you know your skin will not react badly) When sticking the zip on your face try and apply it like how I applied mine on my face so the zip joins at the top and at the bottom. This will give it a better finish.

Once you have your zip stuck down to your face you have already completed the hardest part. Now you need your fake blood to colour in the inside of your zip (like how I have done). Don’t be shy when colouring it in, don’t be neat either, don’t worry if you get some blood on the zip itself. you want that look! You want it to be messy so as if someone has cut you open.

Once you have applied the blood leave it for a few minutes to dry before applying the face paint.

Once you are happy that you can paint over the blood, you will need dark red and dark purple paint to complete your look, you can get these paints for £1 at pound land which comes in a palette with a few other colours. Using your finger dab the red and purple onto the bloody area, (not too much as this is only to give it a sorer look) this final touch is really important as it makes it look scabby and real.

Now all you have to do is find an outfit, preferably something black so that it doesn’t take away from your make-up.

DON’T SPEND A PENNY!

For those who don’t want to spend a penny for Halloween look no further! This post shows different looks I have created by using make up from my very own make-up kit.
