There is nothing better to come home to a hearty sausage & cider casserole (it’s easy to make as well!)
This delightful recipe serves 4 people and can be easily adjusted for more or less! Tastes even more amazing after 5/6 hours in a slow cooker or the next day!
What you need:
- 12 sausages
- 2 eating apples
- 2 Onions
- Any mix of veg you like e.g. mixed veg, peas, carrots etc.
- 300ml apple cider
- 500ml beef stock
- 1tsp basil
What you do:
- Preheat your oven to 180C
- Peel and slice your onions and apples
- Brown your sausages and onions in the casserole dish
- Add your veg and apple to the casserole dish
- Pour over the cider and stock add a little salt & pepper and the basil
- Cook in the oven for 1 hour 45 minutes
To serve:
A nice heap of creamy, buttery mash
